State Sen. Ernie Chambers sued God last week. Angered by another lawsuit he considers frivolous, Chambers says he's trying to make the point that anybody can file a lawsuit against anybody.
Chambers says in his lawsuit that God has made terroristic threats against the senator and his constituents, inspired fear and caused "widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth's inhabitants."
The Omaha senator, who skips morning prayers during the legislative session and often criticizes Christians, also says God has caused "fearsome floods ... horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes."
He's seeking a permanent injunction against the Almighty.
I can understand that the senator was trying to prove a point. But maybe using God isn't the best example to use. And was he seriously considering taking this to court? What is he suing for? I think most people will miss the "point" of the lawsuit, because he is suing God. I think alot of people will take offense to it. God is major apart of most peoples religion, and you should not make a mockery of that.
What I'm saying iz... If you sue God , that might mess up your chances on getting into heaven. If you ask me, you're going to hell with gasoline drawers on!
