Iraq Kills Its Athletes

Most countries adore their athletes.They are usually treated like stars or, heroes, or icons that are put on a pedal stool. Not the case in Iraq.

They have yet to come home for fear of what will happen to them.

Athletes are no longer safe in their own country. In the past year numerous athletes and officials have been killed ,tortured, and/or kidnapped.

After an Olympic meeting 37 officials and athletes were kidnapped. Some are still missing to this day. Witnesses say they came and took them by the truck loads, and they believe the government was involved.

17 members of one of Iraq's Tae Kwon Do schools were killed and dumped into a mass grave on the side of the road.

13 members of a wresting team were gunned down and killed at their school.

Several soccer and volleyball officials and athletes have been murdered or kidnapped.

A suicide bomber attacked a sporting event killing and injuring several innocent people.

Iraq's sports officials have reached out to people like Condoleezza Rice for help , with no answer.

One Iraqi who was interviewed said, that the government doesn't want anything that shows signs of stability or unity, because that means that the Americans had won the war.He says the government is willing to sacrifice it's own people to keep the Americans from winning the war or settling things in their country, even though most Iraqi people approve of what the US is trying to help them do.

What I'm saying iz... You would think that sports would be the one thing that the Iraqi people could unite on, since sports has nothing to do with race or class or religion or politics. Sports is one thing that is universally agreeable, Iraq would be the ones to have a problem with it.

NO CASH FOR iPHONES

Apple Inc. no longer accepts cash for iPhone purchases and now limits sales of the cell phone to two per person in a move to stop people from reselling them.
The new policy started Thursday, said Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris. Before then, there was no cash restriction and the purchase limit was five per person.
Apple thinks some people already have purchased multiple iPhones to resell, including those looking to modify, or "unlock," the phones so they work on networks other than Apple's carrier partner in the United States.
More than 1.4 million units of the hybrid cell phone-iPod have been sold since it debuted on June 29, according to Apple. Apple estimates that 250,000 buyers of the iPhones sold so far intended to unlock them, Apple's chief operating officer Tim Cook said in a conference call with analysts this week.
Apple's attempts to prevent that "unlocking" activity, which included a software update that blocked the workarounds hackers had developed, have frustrated users - and sparked two lawsuits.

What I'm saying iz...Can they really do that, not accept cash? That doesn't seem right. But lets just say that you were gonna buy 5 iPhones with cash. That's almost 1,500 bucks. who carries around that much cash? But at the same time, if you do carry that much cash, that is your right to do so. It's not our responsibility to stop people from ripping Apple off. That's their job , and they need to find a way to deal with that on their end, not the consumers.

According to her court order, Britney has to be accompanied by a parent coach during her visitation with her 2 boys.

Her parent coach is to teach her things, like keeping a routine, and regular activities, meal planning, and help with keeping a respectful bed time.

According to "Coach" , Britney is not having it. She says Britney acts like she's not even there, and doesn't want to hear anything she has to say. She says Brit ignored her the whole time.

Not such a bright thing, considering the "Coach" is going to run and tell the judge everything at their next hearing, to decide Brit's custody rights.

Nobody likes being told what to do with there children, especially a mother, because you feel mother knows best.All the paporazi and everyone needs to give Britney 50 feet for a second. Oprah Heads TO Africa Over Abuse

Oprah skipped out on her Hollywood engagement and took off to Africa.The matron of Oprah's school is being charged with sexual abuse.

S. Africa's local newspaper reports that there has been several reports of abuse at the school. One report is that the matron grabbed a girl by the neck and threw her against the wall. Other students reported sexual abuse, with claims of being fondled by the matron. One child had ran away from the school saying she could no longer handle the abuse.

Oprah, who was abused as a child, is not taking these charges lightly. With the new charges of sexual abuse, Oprah flew out there as soon as she could to see what was going on with this school she worked so hard to build.

What I'm saying iz... This is so sad. Oprah was trying to make a positive impact on these people, and because of one person , all the hard work and effort is undermined. I know Oprah put alot of time and money(40 mil) into this school. Its sad that a person who was in a position to do such wonderful things for these children, turned it negative. Hopefully this will not tarnish their strive to get an education.

Kid Rock Fights AGIN!

After his show in Atlanta, Kid Rock and the crew hit Waffle house at 5 am. Apparently, one of the girls Kid was with, knew one of the girls that worked at the Waffle House.

The 2 girls exchanged words , and all hell broke loose.Kid's crew started fighting with the people in the Waffle House.

Kids was arrested and charged with simple battery. The people who fought Kid, ended up on the bad end of the stick. They were charged with felony battery, and the have to pay Waffle House 1000 bucks for the windows they broke.

Malibu Is On Fire

Malibu is HOT!!! Not because its in sunny California, or home to some of our favorite celebs. Malibu is actually on fire.7 counties have declared a State of Emergency.

The wild fire was apparently started after some power lines fell due to strong wind gust. 70-80 mph wind have helped to spread the wildfire beyond control.

Fire fighters worked through the day and night trying to contain the fire.With local coast guard plane dropping tons of water on the fires, and hundreds of firemen on hand, the blaze continues to rage.

Several homes and Churches have already been damaged. Residence have been told to evacuated.Some residence are refusing to leave, trying to protect there homes themselves.Already , several people have been injured and one person has died.

50 Gets His Own Day In Bridgeport

Bridgeport (AP)_ Bridgeport Mayor John Fabrizi has declared October 12th "50 Cent Day" and will honor the rapper with a key to the city and an official proclamation.

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, will also present a check to Hall Neighborhood House, an inner-city nonprofit group, and speak to about 30 students from city high schools as part of his charity work to improve young people's lives.

He also happens to be filming a new movie in Bridgeport with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. Fabrizi says he met 50 Cent on the set of "Righteous Kill" and asked him if he would be willing to talk with some local students. He says the rapper agreed without hesitation.

Bold & Beautiful Actress Son Dies

The body of Michael Tylo Jr., 19, was found fully clothed Wednesday night in the pool behind his mother's Las Vegas-area house, her manager, Marv Dauer, told Reuters Thursday.

A spokeswoman for the Clark County, Nevada, coroner's office confirmed the teen was found in the pool Wednesday night and the cause of death was listed as an accidental drowning.

The victim's mother, 45, currently stars on the CBS daytime drama "The Bold and the Beautiful" as Dr. Taylor Hayes Maroney.

Tylo sued Spelling, hiring attorney Gloria Allred, at the Los Angeles superior court on Dec. 22, 1997. The pair was all smiles after the jury awarded her nearly $5 million.

During the six-week trial, the actress stunned the court by revealing she was eight-months pregnant. That child, a daughter named Katya, was later diagnosed with a cancer of the retina and lost an eye.

GEORGIA:State Of Emegency

State officials warn that Lake Lanier, a 38,000-acre north Georgia reservoir that supplies more than 3 million residents with water, is already less than three months from depletion. Smaller reservoirs are dropping even lower, forcing local governments to consider rationing.

Perdue's office on Friday asked a Florida federal judge to force the Army Corps of Engineers to curb the amount of water draining from Georgia reservoirs into Alabama and Florida. And Georgia's environmental protection director is drafting proposals for more water restrictions.

Virtually all outdoor watering across was banned across the northern half of the state, restaurants were asked to serve water only at a customer's request and the governor called on Georgians to take shorter showers. Carol Couch, the state's environmental director, said it's "very likely" new limits on water usage are needed.

Water companies are very strict about enforcing these rules. They are out in full force scouting neighborhoods for lawns that seen a bit too green. If a lawn appears to be too green because of watering, the water is immediately shut off. Residence will have to pay 1, 000.00 to have immediate services returned, or pay 35.00 and wait until they can schedule your services to be reconnected.

Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue, seen in 2006, declared a state of emergency Saturday for the northern third of Georgia and asked President Bush to declare it a major disaster area.

It seems as though Georgia officials have no back up plan for such serious conditions. Some suggestions have been made to them such as , using local streams and rivers from within the state, recycling their water, or even distilling water from the Atlantic Ocean.

Swirl Pedophile Busted

After an international manhunt and public appeal for help, Thai authorities arrested Canadian schoolteacher Christopher Paul Neil Friday on suspicion of sexually abusing children.

Neil, 32, arrived at the Bangkok International airport in Thailand Oct. 11 from South Korea, where he most recently worked. He has taught at schools in Thailand, South Korea and Vietnam since at least 2000.

Authorities had "unswirled" a series of digitally altered photos disguising the face of a man -- now believed to be Neil -- molesting young boys. Interpol released the photos early this month seeking help identifying him.

Neil was found after an unusual public appeal by Interpol. The international police agency released reconstructed Internet photos of a man said to be abusing Asian boys in a bid to identify a suspect, receiving hundreds of tips as a result.

One of three Thai youths, aged 9, 13 and 14 at the time, who contacted police Wednesday after seeing Neil's photograph on television. They claimed he had paid them to perform oral sex on him in 2003, Wimol said earlier, adding that the Canadian allegedly also had sex with at least one other under aged male.The boys said the suspect showed them pornographic images on his computer at his apartment in Bangkok, and paid them each $16 to $32, Wimol said.

The images have been circulating over the Internet for years, Interpol said. The public appeal was unprecedented for the international law enforcement agency.

T.I. Arrested In Atlanta

T.I. was arrested today for multiple weapon charges. It is reported that, after TI's bodyguard was arrested for weapon charges, he snitched on TI.
After the bodyguard was arrested, he agreed to cooperate with police, which lead to TI's arrest today.
The bodyguard told police that TI gave him cash to purchases machines guns , and machine gun silencers.The bodyguard said that he had also purchased 9 gun for TI , and 17 gun for members of TI's crew. TI is a convicted felon and cant buy guns himself legally.

Hip Hop Honors 07

Tracey Morgan host the 2007 Hip Hop Honors Award Show, paying tribute to Missy Elliot, Snoop Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest, Whodini, and the movie Wild Style.

The show kicked off honoring Missy Elliot.Missy is the only major hip hop producers.She also runs and owns her own label.She's worked with people like , Timbaland, AAliyah, Tweet, Nelly Furtado, Eve, Ciara, Fatman Scoop, and Keyshia Coles.

Ciara, Keyshia,Fatman Scoop, Tweey and Nelly Furtado hit the stage to preform some of Missy's greatest hits. You couldn't tell it was tweet under all that hair, but , you could definitely tell Nelly had some J.Lo action going on back there. Missy is known for her creative videos, with great dance routines, and dancers, which put a certain little girl on the map.Looks like Missy has found yet another little star.
Next up was Teddy Riley and Andre Hurrel of New Jack Swing. New Jack Swing is known for making their mark with stars like Heavy D, Guy, Jodeci, BlackStreet, Keith Sweat, and the King of Pop himself, Bobby Brown.
T-Pain, Ne-yo , and Kool Moe D hit the stage to preforme some of New Jacks hits like, 'I like', 'No Diggity' and, 'Rump Shaker.' OMG! Ne-yo killed it, of course. T-Pain was crunk , but the vocals were wack! Teddy and Andre aslo made their way on stage for an awesome performance.Kool Moe D...Now that's a throw back!

LL Cool J came out to present the award to Wild Style. LL was looking so DE-LISH-US, I didn't hear 2 words he said, even though I was looking at his lips the whole time!I wasn't the only one, the ladies in the audience screamed the whole time he was presenting. Yes, the ladies love cool J. But Shot out to Fab 5 Freddy, Lee, Cold Crush Brothers, the Fantastics and Bizzy B.Wild Style was the true birth of graffiti.
Chris Rock presented to Whodini.Signed by Jive based in London, Whodini was the first group to have dancers, and preform in areanas.
Jermaine Dapri, Nelly, and Nick Cannon hit the stage to preform Whodini's unforgettable hits 'Friends' , 'One Love', and 'The Freaks Come Out At Night'.Why the picked Nick to preform , I'm not sure. Hes more Nickelodeon than Hip Hop. JD must have caught a flash back for when he used to dance for Whodini.He busted out a couple of his old breaking moves.

The Snoop D-O-double G was honored next.Snoop has definitely left his mark on Hip Hop, and the world, becoming a well known house hold name, like Martha Stewart. Snoop gave alot of props to Dr. Dre, DOC, and Ice Cube.
TI hits the stage and goes'Deep Cover' L.A. hat and all.Pharell was the 'G-Thang' , giving the best performance of the night.Him and Snoop together is like peanut butter and jelly.Even Fab 5 Freddy had to get up out his seat. Ice T came out crip walking.What??? The big dog , and the little dog , preformed 'Whats My Name' together.
The show ended honoring A tribe Called Quest.Busta Rhymes, Lupe Feasco, Pharell, Common , and the Tribe themselves, hit the stage to preform the grand finale with their hits 'Native Tongues' and 'What's The Scenario'.I don't know what the hell Busta was saying, but ya boy Tip was definitely on point!
What Im saying iz... Hip Hop has become a movement and a lifestyle. Through the years, Hip Hop has come a long way. I would like to see the Hip Hop of today, get back in touch with the roots of Hip Hop , which was about the music , and not bitches and hoes, and bling bling.
